Mood: Normal, no strong emotions or feelings. Haha.
This is what I saw at the staircase today while on my way to the laundrette.
No prize for guessing correctly but I bet they were the masterpiece of those drunkards who banged on every room's door at 2am last night. Tsk tsk, it's scary when they shout and make loud noise when they're drunk, but I think my level(floor) is considered quite mild for such incidents.

30/01/2010 - Warwick Castle
Mood: In high spirits! ^^
It's a Saturday, time to tour around! It was my 1st visit to a castle and this is Warwick Castle, located in the county of Warwickshire. I'm so glad that we have gone on the trip with CS's hall mates from Hong Kong. They're really nice and friendly girls. =))
We travelled by a direct bus service 16 from campus and oh my.. the bus fare was expensive. 4.50GBP per pax, though it was a all day tix.
CS & I went to the Castle Dungeon which is so not frightening. However, I must admit that the live actors were really good and they put in alot of effort in acting. really very vocal.
After visiting the castle, we hopped over and explored the Warwick town but

Mood: Extremely exhausted.
It's finally the end of the week.
Being the usual procrastinator I am, I waited till yesterday to get my write up done for one of the module which deadline was today. So apparently I stayed up till wee hours in the morning to get it done. I shall not do that again =(
Tired from the lack of sleep last night, don't really feel like cooking troublesome chinese food so I tried to prepare a western meal instead. Burgers and wedges with my favourite sweet corn!
1st attempt and it tasted awesome with my maggi chilli sauce. maybe it's just that taste buds were too exhuasted to find fault with the food too. Haha.

Mood: Sleepy
It's 12.09pm now and I've just taken lunch in my residence. Cooked a simple fare of fried rice and oven-steamed chicken which tasted quite alright. Haha. There's plenty of room for improvement since this is just the 1st attempt.

Mood: Tired.
Happy Birthday to Dear! ^^
It's his birthday today but I can't be there to celebrate with him. Hope he had a good day.. I'm starting to miss him already.
I just came back to my residence not long ago. ZZ invited us over for dinner at Tocil. When I arrived there, they already started cooking and eventually whipped up a few nice dishes, especially the Lotus Roots soup! How I miss my mum's cooking and the delicious soup she made everyday. It was a great dinner and I hope to pick up my cooking skills in time to come too. Have faith in me. =D
Steamed cod-fish.
Wednesday is my free day where I could have have rested more supposedly. Yet, my legs were aching badly from so much walking today!
Woke up late and missed the induction session held by International office for the int' students, but I guess it wasn't really that important, I hope. Went to see the exchange coordinator to seek help for Online Module Registration (OMR), and I've finally confirmed the modules. Afterwhich, I replaced the student ID for a new one at the University House as it was faulty and it denied my access into the library. It was drizzling but I decided to walk to TESCO and get some grocery. There's a shop call ICELAND which sells a variety of frozen microwaveable food mostly at £1, and I'm surprised that some actually taste good.
Reached back hall at around 5pm and quickly rush to do my laundry before going for dinner at ZZ's place.
Yes! I finally did my laundry today. It's been almost 2 weeks since I arrived in uk and my clothes have been piling up. But then again, it's normal for the students to wash their clothes once in 2 weeks especially due to the winter season. The laundrette is a 1-2 min(s) walk from my residence and I had to lug my laundry there.
The washing machine costs £2 for normal wash, £2.20 for super-cycle which I don't know what the hell is the exact difference but I opted for the latter instead, assuming that it'll churn out cleaner clothes. They dryer machine is at £1 and the first machine I tried using actually "ate up" my coin but did not start working. Just my luck. Doing laundry has never been such a chore. Counting the number of trips I have to take:
1. Bring clothes to the laundrette to put in washing machine.
2. Walk back to hall to wait 45mins for the wash-cycle to complete.
3. Walk to laundrette to transfer washed clothes into dryer.
4. Return to hall to wait for 50mins for drying process.
5. Walk to laundrette to collect the clean and nice-smelling clothes.
6. Bring the clean cothes back to hall.
Oh have I mentioned that I stay in the top level of the residence? Although it's merely 4th floor but climbing the stairs is a torturous process to me.
Ok,alternatively I can wait at the laundrette for 1.5hrs and sit through the whole process so that I don't need to keep running around. But it's so boring and such a waste of time. This makes me reminisce the days in NTU where the laundry room is just like 20 steps from my room and it's free! LOL.
Now I just gotta wait for the woollen's clothings to be dried naturally since they can't be put into the dryer. My room's messy now with woollen socks and long johns hanging around randomly.
