Easter trip Day 12 - Munich, Germany

The city of Munich gives a very strong German feel. Almost all the signs and menus are in German, some even without translation.

We went for the free tour conducted by Sandemans. It was a great tour and we got to see most of the major monuments in the city. Towards the last few stops we actually got separated from the rest of the group cuz we were talking among ourselves and did not pay attention to where the group has gone. We felt so bad because the tour was conducted on a tipping basis and the tour guide was really nice, we didn't want her to think that we're trying to leech on a free tour and slip off towards the end without tipping her.

We are not Chao Ah Tiongs man!
Fortunately, we ran into her on the streets again coincidentally that evening and passed her the tips.

We went to the Englischer Garten, which is one of the largest and Munich's favourite park. The scenery was beautiful with large patches of greens and ducks wading in the pond. We climbed up to the Chinese tower and the view was breathtaking. We could have stayed on longer if not for the strong, cold winds.

German Wurtz, pork knuckles, saukraut, weisbier!!!

How can we claim to have visited Germany without eating all these local delicacies! I love their sausages super lots! And it was beer for lunch, beer for dinner... Had never drank beer so often in Sg but german beer is really nice and cheap!
